Aquatherm Announces Environmental Responsibility Brochure

Aquatherm

Company's latest literature release includes an environmental benefits matrix comparing piping options, and delves into what makes different materials more or less green.

Orem, UT -- (June 2, 2009) -- Aquatherm, Inc. announced the release of its new "Aquatherm and Environmental Responsibility" brochure.

Aquatherm first introduced polypropylene to piping applications in the early 1970s, and could be considered the original green piping option. Relatively new to North America, it has been field tested for 30-plus years in over 70 countries and now possesses most North American major code approvals.

The company's new 8-page brochure makes a compelling argument for the environmental friendliness of polypropylene piping. Its first page features a matrix comparing polypropylene with stainless steel, copper, steel, PEX, and CPVC, and the results are most interesting.

"Aquatherm and Environmental Responsibility" also looks into the ecological footprint of different piping options from material creation -- or finite mineral extraction -- to recycling and everything in between. With sections on hyrdonic heating and cooling, flow rates, insulation, and recycled/reclaimed water, it covers a lot of ground. The brochure also hits upon LEED and emissions, among other topics.

All of Aquatherm's piping systems (which are applicable to HVAC, plumbing, industrial and recycled/reclaimed applications) use a simple heat fusion connection to create seamless connections that when properly executed last a lifetime, while eliminating environmental concerns associated with other plastics and metals.

"Aquatherm and Environmental Responsibility" is available for free in Adobe Acrobat format via www.aquathermpipe.com, and in print form via the company's U.S. and Canadian headquarters.
